Innovation, the economy of the future, technological development - these were the topics emphasized by Vladimir Putin during his speech at the plenary session of the IX Eastern Economic Forum. It is extremely important to read such messages, as “Technological leadership” is a priority national goal, and ensuring primacy in this area is impossible without the introduction of innovations.
International territories of advanced development.
Vladimir Putin instructed the government and the State Duma to speed up the adoption of the bill necessary for the creation of the ITOR. So far, the creation of an international TOR in Primorsky Krai is envisioned as a pilot project. However, if the practice proves to be successful, it is quite likely that this experience may be extended to other subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District, including Yakutia, a member region of AIRR.
Vector for expansion of partnership with Asia-Pacific countries in the sphere of scientific developments.
Foreign technological and scientific teams are showing interest in the Russian Far East. Potential investors and partners in this direction are Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia.
UAV Processing Zone.
As part of the support of advanced infrastructure sectors of the big data economy in the Far East, it is planned to organize a zone for the processing of unmanned aerial vehicles for civilian purposes. Here the experience of the regions that are members of AIRR will be in great demand. For example, the Tomsk region has already received about 2.5 billion rubles for timely equipping research and production centers with equipment, providing conditions for testing and production of in-demand products. Altai Krai has developed a practice of using unmanned systems in the energy and agriculture sectors, Krasnoyarsk Krai and Irkutsk Oblast use unmanned systems to monitor the growth and condition of forests, detect fires, and identify pests.
Building up scientific and educational potential.
New projects of university campuses in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Khabarovsk are currently underway in the Far East. The President announced the construction of new campuses in Chita, Ulan-Ude, and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, and the second phase of the Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island.
