On January 15-16, 2020, Moscow hosted one of the key economic events in Russia — the XI Gaidar Forum, which traditionally involves high-ranking officials, politicians, economists and scientists, including foreign ones.
The theme of the forum was the challenges of the new decade that Russia and the world will face in the coming years — the forum’s agenda is traditionally international. In 2020, the forum coincided with the Message of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly, as well as the subsequent change of the country’s head of government, which became the vector of discussions on the venue.
The forum is traditionally held at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), which is one of the organizers of the conference. Ivan Fedotov, RANEPA Provost, Director of the Gaidar Forum and Head of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia, shared his comments on the results of the forum with Invest-Foresight.
