Key trends of the week in innovation, industry, and regional development across AIRR regions

Technological Sovereignty and Industrial Base
In the Republic of Tatarstan, in Zelenodolsk, an assembly and testing complex for the production of large-capacity LNG compressors has been launched. The project is being implemented in line with Russia’s technological development strategy through 2030.

In the Tomsk Region, in Seversk, the first stage of foundation concreting for the power unit with the BREST-OD-300 reactor has been completed—one of the flagship projects in developing a closed nuclear fuel cycle, Governor Vladimir Mazur reported.

Import Substitution in Industry
In Perm Krai, the enterprise PNITI is developing and manufacturing underground drilling machines “BPM” and “Koroed” for the oil and gas and mining industries. The equipment is fully domestically produced and already in practical use, Governor Dmitry Makhonin noted on his Telegram channel.

Infrastructure as a Growth Driver
In Kaluga Region, reconstruction of the M-3 highway is ongoing. Completion in 2026, as noted at a government штаб meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, will strengthen logistics, improve safety, and support the development of the construction sector. Regional head Vladislav Shapsha reported on the progress at a federal meeting.

Developing Professionals
In Perm Krai, the development of the education system is being discussed jointly with Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov. The priority is to help school students choose their career paths earlier and gain practical experience during their studies.

Science Cities as Growth Points
Biysk (Altai Krai) marks its 317th anniversary and confirms its status as a science city: educational and research initiatives are developing here, including the “Golden Minds of Altai” tournament and a youth center with a planetarium and observatory “Rodina” based at “Kosmotech,” Governor Viktor Tomenko shared.
