Key trends of the week in innovation, industry, and regional development across AIRR regions New Production Facilities In Tatarstan, with the participation of President Putin, a plant has been launched and testing has begun for the first Russian compressor unit for large-scale LNG production. The republic confirms its status as one of the country’s leaders in technological and industrial development. In the Ulyanovsk Region, a highly automated production of body components for Sollers vehicles has been launched at the UAZ site. In the future, the enterprise will ensure the production of a full range of body components for UAZ vehicles as well. Robotization In the Nizhny Novgorod Region, an Industrial Robotics Center is being developed at Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University named after R.E. Alekseev. Domestic solutions for machine vision and robot control are being created, technological audits of enterprises are conducted, and a new generation of engineers for high-tech industries is being trained. Governor Gleb Nikitin: “We are entering a new stage of industrial robotization—bringing together science and the needs of real production in cooperation with the Nizhny Novgorod Research and Education Center and the Polytechnic University.” In Perm Krai, the company F2 Innovations, which grew out of a student project, produces the largest industrial 3D printers in the country. The company’s developments are used in aviation, oil and gas, transport, and other strategic industries. Governor Dmitry Makhonin: “Today, the company is the only domestic manufacturer of large-format industrial 3D printers operating in compliance with strict state standards.” Investment Climate In Mordovia, projects are being developed to create a business park at the SEZ site and an industrial technopark in Saransk. The advanced development area “Ruzaevka” continues to grow, with major investment projects already underway—these were discussed with Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov. Head of the Republic Artem Zdunov: “The region’s potential allows for an increase in the number of residents—Mordovia is among the top eight most investment-attractive regions in Russia.” Foundation for Growth In Bashkortostan, industrial heritage has become a driver of domestic tourism growth. In July, the region will host the first Festival of Mining and Metallurgical Civilization “Copper,” aimed at drawing attention to unique industrial heritage sites and supporting territorial development. Workforce for the Economy In the Irkutsk Region, new clusters of secondary vocational education are being created in “Pedagogy” and “Chemical Industry” under the “Professionalitet” project. The region continues aligning workforce training with economic needs. In the Novosibirsk Region, the federal stage of the All-Russian Job Fair “Work in Russia. Time of Opportunities” has been launched, helping companies find specialists and young professionals build career paths in the region. Minister of Labour and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov took part in the event. Scientific Infrastructure In the Tyumen Region, a positive state expert review has been obtained for the second phase of constructing a world-class interuniversity campus. Construction of nine facilities, including a technopark, an academic and laboratory building, and a center for supporting talented youth, will begin in July. The Russian Government will allocate additional funding for the creation of a network of modern university campuses across the regions. Among the projects is the IT campus “NEIMARK” in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, which will become one of the key platforms for training personnel for the digital economy. Science and Industry In the Vladimir Region, projects in import substitution and high technologies are being implemented in cooperation with Rostec State Corporation.
